While browsing online a few months back I stumbled accross an announcment for a live Garth Brooks concert to be viewed at movie theaters around the world. Being a huge Garth Brooks fan I decided to get my hopes up for what I believed was to be a huge dissapointment, and view the list of theaters that would get the honor. Much to my suprise there we were “Duluth, MN – Duluth 10“. Wow I thought a live Garth Brooks concert and I can enjoy movie popcorn at the same time.
It was a huge success, even with the lacking media coverage and advertisment. I would say about 150 people showed up to watch Garth from the comfort of plush chairs with pop, popcorn, and candy. The concert was great, not as adrenaline pumped as standing in a crowd of thousands, but it had the Scandanavian population of Duluth singing along. And to top it off we found out that this was just the first of many more concerts and sports events that would be playing in Duluth.
