After completing my bachelor’s degree in music and psychology, then graduating from the University of Wisconsin Superior, I have learned that life can bring you down paths you never believed you would travel. You may ask “what are you doing selling real estate with a degree in music?” Although I didn’t begin school with the idea in mind, I found that I had been preparing myself for such a career from the beginning.
Studying music taught me to rely on myself to create the discipline I needed to achieve my musical and academic goals. There was no one there to hold my hand and ask me to practice and prepare for the upcoming concert or audition; I learned to be diligent, thus, my success would follow. I was able to create my own studio of music students, find time to practice adequately, and balance a part time job while remaining on the Dean’s list. Although surrounded by support of family and friends, when push came to shove, it was up to me to take the steps to attain greatness.
I had worked at RE/MAX through college and upon graduation I was offered a wonderful spot on Team Swor as its buyer’s agent. I have taken the skills I gathered in college and applied them to my career in real estate. The hard work and commitment came easy to me. And, not only do I enjoy the work I do, but I enjoy my team. My motivation to be the best I can be and see a smile on each of my client’s faces is my measurement of success.
These new paths in life are like road construction; you can always expect it, but when or where it will take you is never certain!
I am looking forward to the upcoming new year and all the opportunities that await me!
